General description of the organization:
SEVASA is the Public Stevedoring Company of the Valencia Port and it has been established with “Real Decreto Ley 2/86 de 23 de Mayo” and “ Real Decreto 371/87 de 13 de Marzo sobre el Servicio Público de Estiba y Desestiba de Buques”. It is owned at 51% by the State and at 49% by private investors and currently employs more than 1.200 port workers.
SEVASA supplies operational port services and man-power to the companies operating in the Valencia Port, providing them work teams for carrying out all port operations: crane drivers, stevedores, lashers, checkers, foremen, etc…
The company also has a Training Department aimed at guaranteeing adequate skills to the people working in the company, developing continuing vocational training courses. The Training Department is equipped with several typologies of simulators through which innovative training actions has been developed.

Role of the participant organisation in the proposed project:
As subject who manages operational port activities on a daily basis, involving a large number of workers and also providing them the necessary training actions, SEVASA will provide the various workgroups with its experts, trainers and skills, providing support for the development of technical workpackages.
Moreover, as subject already experienced in carrying out simulation-based training activities, the will lead the pilot experiences phase.

Will lead WP3 (Pilot Experiences). Will participate to all other WPs.
